You can retake the State exam simulator as many times as you’d like. I would suggest finishing an exam every other day, scoring at least 80% or more. Finishing 3 and consecutively getting 80% + scores means you are ready for the State Exam****

Another tip is making sure you read the explanation to each question. A lot of times different questions will be repeated about the same topic. Understanding key words will also help.

Acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions of Pre-licensing Course Completion
The state of California requires applicants to complete 20 hours of pre-licensing education for each major line of authority, plus 12 hours of Ethics and California Insurance Code education. Applicants seeking to become licensed in life, health, and accident must complete 52 hours of pre-licensing education. XCEL Testing Solutions will be tracking your time in the course.
You will not be issued a Certificate of Completion until the minimum hour requirements have been met.
